Smarter image sharpening.
Special features lack of softness and matte . Traditional sharpening tools try to simulate this by just making the edges brighter, but we haven’t been able to restore the original problem. AI sharpening works differently by targeting and inverting three types of blur that can produce much more natural results:
Transformation tools have been trained to scale down the camera-blurring motion of shakes or moving objects. Usually, you won’t even think there’s motion blur in your image…until you see the before/after from this model.

The Focus fogged glass tube model is caused by the focus ignored. This is the hardest case to use and won’t recover 100% of your images. However, when it does work, it works fine and can fully restore a discarded image.
The best software works the model to provide good photo sources, adding “highlights” when it’s still automatic. Use alternate communication systems on special points of fineness such as eyes, feathers, leaves and stars.

Ultra-sharp photos often pop off the screen with more impact and emotion, so you can often make your photos stronger by increasing sharpness. However, people are also very sensitive to “unnaturally sharp” photos with lighting and media modes. Special AI made to give your photos extra pop while remaining natural. This example is best viewed at 100%, so feel free to download and recreate them for yourself!

There is often variation between the brush strokes and artifacts. With Sharpen AI, you can make your images stand out much more while keeping the display completely natural. Above, be aware of skin/hair texture and underexposed work or artifacts around the edges, both after significant grinding.
The power of depth of field in your photos.
Many photos will be sharp in certain places, but not in other areas of focus. Image image on lost value around headlights; Gary Lamott made it much more powerful with AI Sharpening by way of backpointing with a given filter.
Take sharper handheld photos.
Sharpen different objects.
Different subjects will often require different types of strokes to look their best and most natural. Sharpen AI has been trained on a variety of subjects and learned to sharpen specific details like furs, feathers, and eyes. In the photo above, Duncan Marshall has sharpened the zebra while keeping the coat completely natural.
AI sharpening becomes important. Besides improving brush strokes, it can also correct slow or slightly out of focus photos! I really can’t imagine going back to editing without it.
The photos are very blurry.
“Really great. This image can’t be modified with any other software I know of. We went from an image I went to something we could use.”
Move repositioning motion
When you want to simulate a clear shot with a speed window, Sharpen AI can help naturally reduce subject sensor movement. In the photo above, Per Grunditz removed motion blur in the subject with Sharpen AI to create sharp, yet completely natural images.
Focus on the eyes
The portrait is sharp if (and only if) the eyes are sharp. AI sharpening created to invert softness is worth the eye when it comes to portraiture, which can help you save stunning photos.
It is important for sharpening software to be able to enhance actual image detail, rather than enhancing the brightness of the pictures. Jarrod Erbe can use Sharpen AI to reverse the machine and create a much sharper image above. To have other special features, pay special attention to the details in the wings and around the back.
Strokes made (not simulated)
Traditional sharpening increases contrast between edges to reproduce sharp images. Special AI sharpening is different because it implements the blur, creating naturally sharper images with less artifacts. In the portrait photo above, you can see that the detailed image is more focused and better resolved because it’s just brighter.

Save images without focus
Image loss is one of the most difficult problems to correct; double when they can’t edit for Sharpen AI or any other software. But in many cases, like Chuck Nelson’s out-of-focus waterdropping image above, you can get great results in Sharpen AI that saves an unusable photo.
I usually shoot with a wide aperture for a faint bokeh effect, but you can notice the image is a bit out of focus. AI sharpening helps me restore all those details, taking the quality of my work to the next level.”

Per Grunditz compared Photoshop’s vibrance feature to AI Sharpen on this image of a bird in flight. Shake Reduction strengthens edges and produces sharper images, but you may see a lot of sharpening and ghosting in the eyes, beaks, and outlines. Since moving the model is trained only for these problems, Sharpen AI can blur the opposite motion in a way that doesn’t produce any correspondence.

I shoot on helicopters and planes, so you can shape movement and vibration. I use Sharpen AI on every image I edit. I have never felt so reassured knowing my image will be better than before.
Integrate into your work
Sharpen AI sockets directly into your existing workflow as a plugin for Lightroom or Photoshop (or whatever supports these plugins). You can also use it as a standalone set for batch processing.
